Teen Game Night

Looking for something fun to do this summer? Join us for Teen Game Night — a relaxed, supportive evening of tabletop games designed just for teens ages 15–18. This is not therapy. It’s simply a great chance to hang out, meet other teens, and enjoy some friendly competition in a welcoming environment.

Whether you’re a seasoned board game strategist or just looking for something fun to do on a Friday night, you’re welcome here.

Evenings are casual and game-driven. These game nights are for teens who enjoy games, can follow the rules, and like playing with others.

• Cost: $5 per session
• Spaces are limited to 5 participants — register early to secure your spot!
• Location: Memphis Center for Mindful Living
• Led by: Jared Balentine, Intern, supervised by Amy Balentine

Teen Game Night is a great option for teens who:
Enjoy tabletop or strategy games
Are looking for a social outlet this summer
Can engage cooperatively and follow game rules

This program provides a supportive environment for a social activity, not a clinical or therapeutic service.

FAQS:

Do I have to register for all the game nights?

No, you register for each individually, you can pick 1, 2, or all three.

Can I come for just part of the time?

We ask that you arrive on time, so we can get the party started. We also ask that if you start a game, you at least stay until you’ve completed the game, if at all possible.

Do I need a parent to bring me?

No, if you drive, you can bring yourself. However, We do have a couple of forms we will send gamers for them and their parents to complete.

Can I bring my own food? You can bring non messy snacks. We will have water and popcorn available.


Game Night Hosts:

Jared Balentine

Jared is our summer Intern, who is a senior psychology major at the University of Tennessee. He is interested in working with individuals who face invisible challenges; such as chronic illness, hearing and vision impairments, and neurodivergence. He has extensive experience with games, from board games to video games to TTRPGs. Not only does he regularly organizes game nights, but he also spends time developing new games.


Amy Balentine

Amy is the owner of the center as well as Licensed Clinical Psychologist and game lover. One of her current favorites is Wing Span, but she also enjoys classics like Clue and Boggle.
